In an effort to eliminate some of the confusion that may arise in a high school sports program, this page has been created to help new and existing parents navigate the various constituencies of Canyon Football as well as understand what is expected of players and parents in our program. Canyon has been a successful program in the region because of the efforts of coaches, players and parent all contributing to help the program excel.

The Canyon Football program runs year-round, with various phases throughout the year.  While the season typically runs from August through December, coaches, players and parents are involved in varying degrees during the entire year. Parents are required to volunteer throughout the year.

fees, expenses, and fundraising

Running a program of this size and quality is extremely expensive, the school does not cover any expenses’ for football. The Canyon Cowboys Football Booster Club has two main purposes. The first is to serve as an interface between parents, the school, and the coaches. The second is to provide fundraising to help support the program and lower the cost per family required to run the program. In addition to assisting with fundraising, each family is expected to contribute to help cover the costs of equipment, coaches, transportation, fields, and stadium costs needed to run the program.

This year’s family contribution is $650 per player. Payment plans are available, and we have multiple programs available to help offset this through fundraising programs.

Contributions are due on july 26th.

player physicals

Players will not be allowed to begin summer camp without being medically cleared. The school will be holding three physical days with Exer Urgent care. May 6th 11am-7pm, May 10th 2pm-7pm, June 3rd 11am- 7pm. Please call to make an appointment or you can get the physical done with your own Doctor, contact us if you need a copy of the physical form. The form can be submitted online when you register for Summer Football through Canyon High School ASB.  DO NOT wait until the last minute to complete your physical. Once submitted online they have to approve it which takes time. Your player cannot play until he is cleared by the school.

sponsorship form

Each player will be asked to get a new sponsor in our community. The form below outlines the many ways local businesses may sponsor Cowboy football and promote their business. This is a really easy and effective way to meet your family contribution fees.
